The fantastic poet Carl Phillips (b. 1959) has won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry for his most recent book, Then the War: And Selected Poems, 2007-2020.
Below, a selection of some of my favorites, though it’s admittedly hard to choose across his superb body of work.
