✨ Don’t forget to submit your own poems for Poems for Your Weekend. The May theme is TRAVEL. Submit a poem (your own or one by another poet) here. I will curate a round up that includes poems from this thread on 5/30. ✨

Dear Friends,

Happy Friday! Below, please find your FDA-approved dose of weekly poems.

A reminder that doors to my online writing community, Conscious Writers Collective, open on June 1st, the same day that National Book Award finalist Kaveh Akbar (Martyr!) will be speaking on ancient spiritual poetry. If you would like to join either the Poetry or Prose (Fiction & Creative Non-Fiction) branches of CWC, you can join the waitlist here. Our community includes 200+ writers from all over the world, many of them phenomenal Substack writers.

Now, onto this week’s medley.

Today, I revisited Nicole Callihan’s poem for maybe the zillionth time. If you’ve never come across it, you’re in for a treat. I also rediscovered this delightful poem by Ross Gay and this unusual poem (after a madrigal) by Maura Stanton. Its last line is truly brilliant.

As always, I’m eager to hear your favorites lines!

xM
