Poetry Today Q&A Replay
How to conceive of a newsletter, when to collate work, & how to silence your inner critic
Dear Friends,
In our Q&A today, we went around and troubleshooted each person’s particular writing or newsletter challenges. It’s my favorite thing to do. The energy at the end of these sessions is always palpably lighter. It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we become aware of—and revise—the sentences in our head.
One of the best parts of being in community is crowdsourcing feedback and advice and seeing just how much we share in common in the process. So many of us have the same set of programmed anxieties and doubts that we have to learn to silence or befriend.
This replay is for you if:
You have a field of expertise you’re interested in channelling into a newsletter but aren’t sure where to begin
You have so many notes and drafts, but your inner critic is being uncooperative
You actually aren’t sure if publishing is for you—and it might not be!
My aim and hope for us is that we always practice enough self-awareness about our goals to be in integrity with them. If we are doing something, why? If we’re not, why not? What must we believe to be true to be taking action or not taking action?
I hope the lessons in this replay prove useful to your own projects!
